8th October 2013

We are off today for a tour of Salt Lake City and the surrounding area, hopefully including the famous salt flats.
Unfortunately we soon discovered that the salt flats where all the land speed record attempts are made are 60 miles outside the city so today we had to settle for salty beaches and a boat marina where the boats had no motors ( because of the salt ! ).

For our lunch stop we visited Park City where the bus dropped us outside a micro brewery where we had a very fine Bison burger. This fine establishment known as the Wasatch Brewery offered Jalapeno and Apricot beers as well as a very fine IPA ! A great time was had by all, lets forget about the National Parks and explore the breweries instead.

We finished our day at the local Megaplex cinema where we saw George Clooney and Sandra Bullock in their latest blockbuster "Gravity" in glorious 3D. A great way to end the day.
